Python Developers Survey 2022 Now Open

The Python Software Foundation has announced via Twitter that the 2022 Developers Survey is now online and accepting responses. The survey, hosted by JetBrains, helps the PSF gain insight into the state of the Python community. Responding takes 10 - 15 minutes, and recipients will be entered into a raffle for a $100 gift card. We encourage all members of the Python community to fill it out. White House announces Blueprint for an AI Bill of Rights

The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy has published guidelines for the creation and use of AI systems while protecting the rights of the American public. The document addresses several key subjects including data privacy, algorithmic discrimination, the ability to opt-out of AI-driven systems, and more. The document was included among other announcements regarding the White House's position on accountability within the tech sector.

Meta Announces Meta Quest Pro and Integrations with Teams and Zoom

Meta just had its Connect 2022 Event, where they unveiled a new VR Headset, the Meta Quest Pro. This $1499.00 device comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2+ chipset and 1800×1920 per-eye mini-LED displays. The display is 40% thinner and has 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage and eye tracking. The event also announced partnerships with Adobe, Autodesk, Accenture, Microsoft and Zoom.

Microsoft Ignite Announces GPT3 Integrations, Azure Postgres Support in Cosmos DB

Microsoft announced a slew of things at their MSIgnite Event. A few announcements of note are that Cosmos DB, Azure's NoSQL storage will now support Postgres queries allowing you to better work with both NoSQL and SQL structured data in a single query language. Microsoft also announced a few services will be integrated with OpenAI's GPT-3, the Algorithm that powers GitHub CoPilot. These integrations are designed to speed up development on their No-Code platform Power Automate, a new Image Creation tool called Designer, and CoPilot Labs a CoPilot powered tool that can explain code snippets.
